The second day of the “Healthy Youth in All Aspects” project, implemented under the Erasmus+ Programme and coordinated by Generaciones Saludables España with Alfa Sports Association as a partner organization, focused on the importance of physical activity as a key component of a healthy lifestyle. Through a combination of educational and practical activities, participants explored how regular exercise contributes to physical and mental well-being and learned effective strategies for incorporating physical activity into their daily routines.
The day began with an informative session dedicated to the benefits of sport and physical activity. Participants learned about the positive impact of exercise on overall health, the importance of developing sustainable sports habits, and practical methods for maintaining an active lifestyle. Topics such as goal setting, creating routines, self-motivation, and exploring different forms of physical activity—including yoga, dance, and martial arts—were discussed. Following the presentation, participants took part in an interactive discussion where they reflected on their own lifestyles, shared experiences, and exchanged ideas on how to become more active in their everyday lives.
The practical highlight of the day was the “Footprints in Nature” hiking activity. Participants joined a guided nature walk designed to encourage regular physical activity while fostering a deeper connection with the natural environment. The walk provided an opportunity for young people to experience firsthand how simple activities such as walking can contribute to a healthier lifestyle. Surrounded by nature, participants engaged in physical exercise, enjoyed the outdoor environment, and strengthened their bonds with fellow participants through shared experiences.
At the end of the activity, participants gathered for a reflection session where they discussed their feelings after the walk and considered ways to integrate similar activities into their weekly routines. Many participants emphasized the positive impact of spending time in nature and engaging in physical activity on their energy levels, motivation, and overall well-being. Through these activities, the project continued to encourage young people to adopt healthy habits, recognize the value of regular exercise, and take practical steps toward leading more active and balanced lives.
