The fifth and final day of the Healthy Habits project in Gijón, Spain, focused on reflection, cultural discovery, and celebrating the achievements of the participants throughout the project. Bringing together young people from Spain, Latvia, Belgium, Turkey, Romania, and Hungary, the final day provided an opportunity to look back on the learning journey while strengthening intercultural connections and preparing for future initiatives promoting healthy lifestyles.

The day began with a guided city tour of Gijón organized by the Spanish team. Participants explored some of the city's most iconic locations, including San Lorenzo Beach, the city center, San Lorenzo Square, and the historic Revillagigedo Palace. Through direct observation and interaction with the local environment, participants gained a deeper understanding of the city’s cultural and historical heritage. The activity encouraged intercultural learning while allowing participants to experience daily life in Gijón firsthand.

As part of the day’s program, participants also took part in a stakeholder visit to a local institution in Gijón. During this visit, the project objectives, activities, achievements, and partnership structure were presented to local representatives. The meeting provided an opportunity to disseminate the results of the project, promote international cooperation, and highlight the importance of healthy lifestyle education for young people. Participants also had the chance to exchange ideas and gain insights from local stakeholders, further expanding their perspectives.

Later, participants gathered for the Youthpass and final evaluation session coordinated by the Romanian team. During this activity, participants completed their Youthpass certificates, reflecting on the skills, knowledge, and competences they had developed throughout the project. The final evaluation also allowed participants to assess the impact of the project on their lives, discuss the effectiveness of the activities, and provide valuable feedback regarding the achievement of the project’s objectives. Through both written and verbal reflections, participants recognized their personal growth and the positive influence of the project experience.

The cultural evening, led by the Belgian team, offered another opportunity for intercultural exchange and celebration. Participants presented their countries through cultural presentations, traditional foods, music, dances, customs, and interactive cultural stands. By sharing elements of their cultural heritage, participants deepened their understanding of different traditions while promoting mutual respect, inclusion, and appreciation of diversity. The activity highlighted one of the core values of the Erasmus+ programme: learning through intercultural dialogue.

The Healthy Habits project concluded with a farewell gathering that celebrated the friendships, experiences, and achievements created during the five-day mobility. Project coordinators, partner organizations, and participants shared their final thoughts, future plans, and gratitude for the opportunity to take part in the project. Accompanied by music, refreshments, and memorable conversations, the farewell activity marked the end of an unforgettable journey that empowered participants to adopt healthier lifestyles, develop new skills, and build lasting international connections.
